I started cross-country skiing when I was 4 years old and made my first tele turn well before the age of 10. I tried alpine skiing (to impress a girl) for one season in the 7th grade, but at the end of the season my skis were stolen and I've been dropping a knee ever since. These days my time is divided among California, Seattle and Whistler, BC, which does not leave nearly enough mountain time.
