Sure, I can take some pictures, Right now we have two different custom mounts we've made, we actually run two cameras at a time. We use the Universal mount adapter with a 1/4 20 screw, with a nut to back it up, and aircraft safety wire to hold everything in place in case the hardware comes loose. We don't want anything coming off and going through one of the intakes. Hoping to make a couple other mounts to get some other great camera angles at our next show in 2 weeks. Check back we'll have some more clips up soon.

This is Patriots Jet #2 flown by Rob Hutchinson AKA Stache doing a low highspeed pass at our Hillsboro Oregon Airshow 8-21-2011. We used a custom made mount specifically for this shot testing out our new Contour GPS. Enjoy!

Thanks again, It is too bad they don't allow planes to fly under the bridge anymore. Never seen someone loop it though, that would be sick. And no we did not use anything to protect the lens, as for the mic, I used the easy edit software to configure the mics sensitivity to a lower level. Though I have considered the waterproof case to protect the lens and muffle some of the sound. I'm updating our computer as well and collecting footage so hopefully soon we will have some edited footage with some music instead of the wind, perhaps even some radio transmissions between the pilots.

agreed, I thought the same thing when I saw the gps model. This camera was the guinea pig to see if it could handle the speed and the g's, it passed, but that was the last show of the year. Right now we are doing our annual inspections of the jets, and it will be a couple months before we will have a chance to film some more action. Until then I will be working on new mounting locations, and hopefully convince the owner to purchase a couple more cameras to place on the other jets, or at least the gps model.

Thanks for the positive feedback, this is probably one of my favorite clips, i like the flying over the city and the flat 8 so close to the water. We use the universal adapter with the 1/4 20 screw mounted to an angle bracket that we had mounted to the tail especially for this camera. We use no additional leashes or wire, because we would rather lose the camera than have it fall off only to beat itself and the plane in the wind. We also put it on the slot plane because if it did come off, we don't want it to get sucked into another jets intake. The slot plane is also the only plane that does the figure 8 and that is the maneuver that pulls the most g's, normally 6+G's

Yes, thankfully it had the leash and saftey wire. I thought the pilot would be mad at 1st when I heard it came off the mount, but he said it was pretty comical and he is a very talented and experience pilot (former f-16 thunderbird pilot) so this was probably like changing the radio station while driving in traffic to him.
