OldSchoolMotorsports liked OldSchoolMotorsports's story 2011 Rally of the Tall Pines - A1 Landon Road - Chris Martin/Brian Johnson

First stage of the Rally of The Tall Pines. Due to Canada's system of using seeding to select the start order, rather than a demonstrated speed factor, we were forced to start behind the 2WD Ford Fiesta of long time competitor, Thierry Menegoz. As you

OldSchoolMotorsports liked OldSchoolMotorsports's story 2011 Rally of the Tall Pines - A2 Upper Old Hastings (1) - Chris Martin/Brian Johnson

2nd stage of the rally. We lost our brakes around the midpoint of the stage and had to back way off. Still managed to catch Thierry Menegoz again. Only set the 14th fastest time, but we were still figuring that we could get the brakes fixed at the fol

OldSchoolMotorsports liked OldSchoolMotorsports's story 2011 Rally of the Tall Pines - A3 Upper Old Hastings (2) - Chris Martin/Brian Johnson

2nd pass of this stage and the only clean run we got all day. We had fixed our braking issues (i.e. the lack of brakes) and had been reseeded higher in the start order, so catching slower cars should no longer have been a problem. Wound up 5th fastest

OldSchoolMotorsports liked OldSchoolMotorsports's story 2011 Rally of the Tall Pines - A4 Old Detlor Spectator Stage - Chris Martin/Brian Johnson

Wound up 7th on this stage, in spite of losing 10 seconds+ when we happened upon the rolled Evo of Demitrios Andreou and Jack Woodhouse. They had started the stage a few minutes ahead of us and still hadn't extricated themselves from the car and put o

OldSchoolMotorsports liked OldSchoolMotorsports's story 2011 Rally of the Tall Pines - A5 The Peanut - Chris Martin/Brian Johnson

The infamous Peanut stage. Super fast and fun until the left turn into the narrow, rougher area. Peanut was actually in better shape than I had ever seen it. You can see at about the 35 second mark, we landed a big jump a bit crooked. The landing didn

OldSchoolMotorsports liked OldSchoolMotorsports's story 2011 Rally of the Tall Pines - A6 Iron Bridge (1) - Chris Martin/Brian Johnson

The 1st pass of another famous stage from the Canadian championship. Iron Bridge runs twice, but it is also the final 2/3 of the Detlor stage we had run earlier in the day. We finished 9th fastest, but lost time when we almost had a HUGE off after the

OldSchoolMotorsports liked rallybri's story 2011 GCFR - A4 Chris Martin/Brian Johnson

Stage 4 and we are now 1st on the road. No more dust to eat and the stage has been pretty well swept of loose gravel. We wound up equaling the stage record on this pass.

OldSchoolMotorsports liked nerdboy's story Rallye Defi 2011

Montpellier and Jarnac stage finishes of Rallye Defi 2011. Three spinouts in Montpellier resulted in the loss of one mailbox. Operating a flying finish from the outside of the final corner of Jarnac got us (and the ContourGPS) pummeled with stones, bu

Nice footage. Looking forward to hearing the audio. FWIW I had audio issues uploading our in-car a couple of times yesterday. Wish we hadn't blown the turbo as it would've been nice to see some outside footage of our car as well. Will you be at Tall Pines?

Rallye Defi stage 13. This wound up being the final stage of the rally for us. The car had NO power to speak of. We somehow managed to set the 10th fastest time , but the car was getting progrssively worse and began running on 3 cylinders during the t

OldSchoolMotorsports liked OldSchoolMotorsports's story 2011 Rallye Defi - SS12 - Lac Elmitt(1) - Chris Martin/Brian Johnson

2011 Rallye Defi stage 12. After working overnight and trying to find a replacement turbo, we came up empty and decided to try to lower the boost to see if we could at least preserve a finish and score points, both nationally and divisionally. The car

2011 Rallye Defi stage 5. The second of two new stages to the rally. Only 2.5k. Had a decent run and maintained our position in the top 10.
