The riding area is used as a military training area mostly in the recovery of Tanks and Lorries which is why in the video you can see DEAD ones lying around. Some of the holes and trenches are upto 8 feet deep....Also the sand is reputed to be the most abrasive there is in the UK, no brakes front or back after two laps. A friend of mine wore his rear pads through the backing plate and onto the piston too But he is in expert class so much faster than me.

Youre not wrong about the chalk, but the bigger fear at this place is the depth of some of the puddles, upto 8ft in places
