this is when I wish my GPS was not soaccurate, because it would have rounded up. Top speed at the Bowl as far as I can tell. Too scary to push it any harder on that slope

after sorting out the speeds of all my clips using excel, this one was the fastest at 64.64 MPH... So I broke 57.5 easily, my season's fastest, but still no match for my run down this same spot in 2010 when I hit 71.1 MPH

when you skip the morning coffee, you can easily get the blood flowing with a 57mph jaunt down Donner's Way first run in the morning...

found a SWEEET mogul line covered in powder on the edge of Disnet next to Strawberry Fields. The snow was best here Tuesday. Josh is right behind me, very few boarders can keep up with a skier in moguls, but this kid rocks!!!! This is a rear mounte

This video is awesome because... as soon as I cleared the run visually, I hit the afterburners and slayed it. Nothing like DH on POW skis !!

this was the fastest I hit yesterday... I'm bummed, I really thought I hit 60 or even broke my record on these skis of 62.7 MPH ... I think these skis max out between 55-65, I ain't trying to go faster than that with these powder skis.

Looking through my GPS data from yesterday, I was really hoping to break 60, but looks like I only hit 55 MPH. I still have 15 more clips to look at, but I was pretty sure this was the fastest I went yesterday...

lemme know if you still have the raw files.... you can send me one or two and I'll frame rate convert them for you. Then I'll post a video of the converted one, a regular one, and one that is slowed down incorrectly. the difference is amazing !

thats weird that i movie would not let you use mov files. they are Apple! lol. try this... you can change the extention to mp4, it gives you a warning, but accept it. if you are worried, and i would be with that awesome footage, backup the raw file asap. you never know when you need it again, plus it has the gps data in it. anyway, The new Cineform software now accepts mov files. here is a timeline of what you want. email me if you have any more questions -- 1. film in 60fps 2. transfer to computer, then make a backup folder and save it again (basically 2 of everything) 3. import the files (mov are ok) into Go Pro Cineform 4. click advanced settings - make sure the frame rate is 29.98, then click remember settings and ok - tutorials and suport there too. 5. you can crop off the ends of the files here setting start and end points. then after you are finished with all that, click the convert all button on the bottom right. this takes some time. it churns out everything in AVI format at half speed. this is step ONE !!!! 1 more big one to go. ****be sure to make a new folder called "slowed down" to put all these in*** then hit proceed to step two, from here you have to export each file one by one, and you end up with a mp4 file that is twice as long at half the speed. voila!!! the link to that free sofftware is here - http://gopro.com/3d-cineform-studio-software-download/ I don't mean to post a competitor's camera info on here, but until storyteller has a frame rate conversion, I have to use this. best of all it's free. this is why my video is so long, it's like taking 20 min of raw footage and ending up with 40 min of raw footage to edit. If you watch my newest video you can see the difference. it all ends up in slow motion by 50% speed, but at 29.98fps. Good Luck, all that matters is that you are having fun and enjoying it and learning it. Just remember to make one backup folder for everything and make a folder for each event. You never know when you wanna go back and use that GPS data. I recommend "dashware" too, that uses the GPS data in every way imaginable.

This video is awesome because... this is my first attempt at running 2 camera angles both filming in hi speed mode. Go Pro = R3 (720p, 59.94fps, center meter) Contour GPS = Action Mode (59.94fps, Contrast 65, Sharp +3, Exposure -1, center meter) B

On MLK day, we hiked down to Folsom Lake. I am standing next to the water level but you can see Google earth took their satellite pic of this area sometime before winter as the water level is usually much higher.
