Banned you need to read up on the Highway Code if you think what you have said is correctFor avoidance of doubt read the extract at the end of this taken from the official Highway Code. It states that when taking an intermediate exit i.e. not the first left or to the right you do not normally need to indicate your intentions to leave the roundabout until you have passed the exit immediately proceeding the exit you are intending to leave. I think youll find that ferret had been hit at the point that he may have chosen to indicate. It is worrying that you are so happy to criticise when clearly your understanding of the Highway Code is not up to speed.I do agree that as a motorcyclist car driver 50k miles a year, MBR and road cyclist myself, that you have to assume that all car drivers are blind but this is not ferrets fault but more the consequence of an elderly driver perhaps not alert enough or attentive enough to notice a bike and simply failing to stop at the junction. If he had stopped then Ferret would have sailed through. I agree completely that the green car was more intent on looking to his left to get ahead of the Audi than looking across the whole of the road scene. Riding through trafficked areas is a lottery at the best of time and i avoid it like the plague. Also on the point of speed, 20mph for entering or leaving a roundabout is not exactly fast that particular junction is driven by cars at far higher speeds.I think unfortunately for Ferret small silhouette on busy background invisibility cloak crash.Glad your on the mend ferret good luck with the insurance.Highway Code Extract and link for those who want to know the law httpwww.direct.gov.ukenTr...Section 186Signals and position. When taking the first exit to the left, unless signs or markings indicate otherwisesignal left and approach in the lefthand lanekeep to the left on the roundabout and continue signalling left to leaveWhen taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwisesignal right and approach in the righthand lanekeep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundaboutsignal left after you have passed the exit before the one you wantWhen taking any intermediate exit, unless signs or markings indicate otherwiseselect the appropriate lane on approach to the roundaboutyou should not normally need to signal on approachstay in this lane until you need to alter course to exit the roundaboutsignal left after you have passed the exit before the one you wantWhen there are more than three lanes at the entrance to a roundabout, use the most appropriate lane on approach and through it.
