John got luck this time. Mine didnt on my 1st camera, broke loose at about 10,000 ft. . Found on the tarmac a little bent, non functional, but lenses intact. These mounts arent built for full body contact while falling at 120mph. For my second camera I made my own mount with a cutaway system. BTW, the VHoldR folks were great about a significant discount on the replacement. My old one is on their wall of fame Blue Skies....
It is, not much comes close to it. It isnt as dangerous as folks think if you check your equipment and follow basic procedures. Planning the dive and breakoff is the key to minimizing risk. You have a real nice dropzone in Chester not far from Charlotte.The Sky isnt the Limit, it is our Playground. Blue Skies......
