If you are referring to the thin black ones? They are connected to the harness. The harness has a solid loop that connects to the glider and several cords that help the harness lay correctly when you fly prone. In this video I am staying upright only.

My second Solo High Glide from Bald hill at Stanwell park. Soon it will be solo soaring. For now I am glad to be able to launch, glide and land safely. I can't wait until I am able to just soar and stay up for hours. Still need some work on my landing
