Hi there loggerhead, It was definitely the camera, we now have a nice great racing stripe down the side of the camera courtesy of the Pillip Island race track. I'll try and get an image up on or Facebook page today.
That was great. I wish I had a contour when I used to race. I believe, from my experience, that the scraping sound is your knee puck, not the camera. At least I hope so.
