Ive used the windshield mount on the following outside locations car doors, quarter panels, and even a carbon fiber spoiler as seen on the Lamborghini in the video above. Ive also used the mount on motorcycle bodywork. The mount is ROCK solid, but please be aware that high winds hitting the mount will cause some vibration. For piece of mind, I also like to throw on a few strips of Gaffer tape just to be safe.One last thing, make sure the mounting surface is flat, nonporuus and CLEAN before you use the mount and you should be just fine.
