zeigh: This is what is called a short approach landing in aviation. It focuses on maximum performance of the aircraft and precise control to land the plane in the shortest time possible. This is normally used for emergency situations, but a few air traffic controllers also appreciate it when the airport traffic pattern gets too busy. The ride is steep, fast, and fun

    Ha, it is an orange tree orchard. Corn would be better for a crash landing and at least provide popcorn for the rescuers if fire was involved. Nobody likes hot orange juice. Dr. Z.

    I was afraid of that Might need to look for another aircraft to use...perhaps a pusher, as I would love a clean, unobstructed view forward.You are correct, proper placement is a must and will need to conform to any FAA regs. Fly safeMichael

    Thanks for watching. I used a hose clamp attached RAM mount as far up on the wing strut against the underside of the wing as possible for this shot. I also have a Cessna 150. There are ways to attach a camera further down the wing, but not without some form of modification for it to be safereliable. It just depends on how far you want to alter expensive aircraft parts. Then there is the whole FAA hurdle to be completely legal. Whatever you do, research it thoroughly There was a Red Bull stunt plane that crashed because of how a camera mount effected the aerodynamics at a critical point in flying.Blue Skies,Dr. Z.

    I was curious, is the camera all the way out on the wing strut We have thought about mounting in a similar fashion on our C150, but I would like to shoot straight ahead without the prop in the shots. Great stuff
