☃ sno-bee : A young woman, trying out her new helmetcam while riding her motorcycle, gets clipped by a crazy motorist in LA.Details herehttpwww.smoothcurvesracing.comforumviewtopic.phpt303This accident occurred on the 55NBDyer at 318 PM in Santa Ana, California. This is a 4 lane freeway with a HOV lane.On my way home from work Friday afternoon, a Honda Civic lost control in the HOV Carpool Lane. I was in the 1 Fast Lane. The Honda Civic spun around on the freeway and came at me. No one knows yet why the Honda driver would lock the brakes, swerve out of control, and never try to correct it. If you watch the video though, you do see him accelerate at first towards the white car ahead of him. He doesnt get that close to the white car he still had at least a car length but for whatever reason he slammed on the brakes, resulting in the locking of the wheels, burningsmoking tires, loss of traction, loss of control, etc. . I end up in the 2 lane. His vehicle is almost turned around 180 degrees in the wrong direction, completely across the 1 lane and into the 2 lane. His left front headlightfront panel Tboned the right side of my bike.

No, it wasnt me I used quotes in the title and the description, provided a link to the womans website where she tells the entire story.. including her spread this around to help motorcycle safety awarenessWhat I thought most compelling about this footage, and why its appropriate for a site like this, is that it really shows the value of having a helmet cam turned on and record ANY TIME youre on a motorcycle the followup on the story is that the rider used the footage to prove she was in no way at fault, and got insurance to pay for her equipment and medical bills related to this crash.

Notice that the first thing the guy does when getting out is look at his phone...

If you do some research on this youll find that it wasnt done with VHoldR, but a Sony tube cam. Some disclaimers about equipment and who actually shot the video snobee really would be appreciated.

This is the video that inspired me to get a camera for my bike. It can be a fun toy to have but in an event like this it can make a huge difference in a courtroom.
