I use side mount as well and no chin cup and have much less shaking effect. I have put neoprene on the inside between the thing attached to the camera and the actual mount. Also I have drilled holes in the plate and put neoprene between the plate and the helmet. I think it works well and reduce the shaking...
ha, yeh its rather shaky. I use the sidemount and when freeflying at balistic speeds my protec shakes a lot. I dont use a chincup Im planning to top mount it. If you watch my other video platvallen you see it shakes less. less speed less shake
