This is a portion of the Peaks trail which skirts The San Francisco Peaks, the tallest mountain in Arizona. While a well burtin trail, it offers challenging riding, and epic scenery. The terrain varies from Ponderosa pine woods, to rocky mountain climbs, to grassy fern lined meadows, to aspen tree groves. The elevation hovers around 8400 to 9000 feet.
