The run down from Prescott is 15 miles of mostly tight turns cut into the side of the mountain. The highway is mostly one lane in each direction, with a couple of passing lanes toward the top. At over 6000 feet the weather is much cooler then on the valley floor and gets snow every year. Its a great escape from the extremely hot summer weather.
