Right now I use the ContourHD and the waterproof case on my racebike to reduce the windnoise. It works great, no more windnoise I just put a small piece of rubber over the mic hole while I slide the cam inside the case.I still have to make a vid of a trackday at Assen, Netherlands from 2 weeks ago. Once Ive done that Ill upload it so you can judge the sound for yourself.Maple Leaf Racing Pictureswww.mlrp.nlwww.nieuwsmotor.nl

I tried a small piece of cotton, and that worked for a while, until the cotton got blown apart from the wind, so then I put a piece of cellophane scotch tape over the mic hole, and that did the trick.Check out my videos under samlynnejess. The earlier ones were wo the tape.

I agree with RSVspeed, its a waste of the camera. What really works fill the LEDlight on the front with silicone. the wind goes in there and ruining the sound...So Im told...eat, sleep, ride, repeat...

Once you get the hang of it it doesnt take that much time. Besides I mostly use it for track sessions which prevents me from switching it on and off anyways.Maple Leaf Racing Pictureswww.mlrp.nlwww.nieuwsmotor.nl

One question... How do you turn it on and off between rides Seems like a lot of work wraping it up take one hour ride to unwrap it to turn it off to go eat then turn it on and wrap again.

Nice work, Maple LeafAnd youre damn right when youre saying that closing the mic hole isnt enough.Ive tried that and didnt work...There was same annoying noise

Hi RSVSpeed,I dont like the idea of silicone in combination with electronics very much, besides that I doubt it will work. When VholdR is recording try rubbing the outershell at the opposite side of the microphone hole. You will even hear this, because VholdR is kind of a sound box. Just closing the hole wont do the job, I reckon. On my bike is plenty of space for the extra packaging so it works well for me.Maple Leaf Racing Pictureswww.mlrp.nl

That is of course a way to reduce the wind noise, but then the benefit of having a small camera is gone with the packaging. I heard that putting a silicon the one you use for tile sealing droplet on the micro opening should work fine.Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul
