Motor officers visiting San Francisco on a training ride. Video is shot on Highway 101, Golden Gate Bridge, the marina district, the wharf, Russian Hill area, Embarcadero, Bay Bridge to Interstate 80.
What I don't understand is the side-by-side riding approach, which leaves little room to maneuver should something unexpectedly occur. I have no doubt as to the great skill of these riders, just question the rationale for sbys, instead of offset and with some intervening space. If I recall correctly some of the nasty motorcade accidents have involved the M-cops doing side-by-side. I've been a MSF instructor and while certainly not having the depth of these dudes, I cannot help but wonder. I do like the switch to modular helmets I've seen by some motor officer units. Nice to have a little facial protection.
