what kind of racing is this?
lilmoto:
This is a hare and hound style desert race- we raced cross country for a 47 mile loop. Mostly whoops and sand washes. Timed for an hour and a half.
Was the white balance off? Or did you add a filter effect in post? Asked by mwjscn
lilmoto:
yeah it was overcast and it filmed very dark- I tried to make up for it in Final Cut, but couldn't quite get it right
Love this. Where was this shot and which camera/mounts were you using? Thanks! Asked by lacy
lilmoto:
We raced in the Sahwave mountains in Northern Nevada. I used the goggle strap mount w the ContourHD.
Could you please republish this awesome video without the "music"? The engine sounds would be so much better! Thanks Asked by modcit+
lilmoto:
Try this. 1. turn off sound.
2. purse your lips. 3. make your best dirtbike noise...voila! (next time I'll include the awesome KTM noises-good idea)

Awesome riding! looks like a fun race. was it all-female, or were the guys somewhere else? keep this up and there will soon be a good female contingency for Vegas-to-Reno, Baja, etc. Asked by hiawassee
lilmoto:
This is the women's class with MRANN, or racing organization- we have novice, amateur, expert start lines. On Sunday there is a men's race, and some women race that one, too. Come on out and rip, ladies!
My 12 yr old daughter has her first race this weekend, I'm so EXCITED for her. She is so nervous... Any advise for a first time girl racer? She has fresh rubber and we were fortunate enough to practice the course last weekend. Its a 20 minute hare scramble also. p.s. Love your videos, and creative editing, I'm sending it to her email right now. VERY inspirational!!! Thanks so much for sharing. Asked by ARZ
lilmoto:
Oh now I'm excited for her, too! Definitely eat a good breakfast that morning, like steel cut oats. 20 minutes sounds like a short, fast course. Have her focus on throttle control, you can tell her to just roll on the throttle. That might help her keep from getting too excited and falling from too much gas in a corner- where the other kids will probably wreck. And have her stand on those pegs no matter what! Write back and let me know how she does! Whoo hoo girl racers!
