This video was shot early this winter at Crystal Mountain on one of those days we live for! Deep pow and sunny skys. Crystal even opend up High Campbell's chair for the first time of the season for 2 hours to let people pack down the snow pack before some warm weather hit WA. I took as many hot laps on Campbells as I could before they closed it then hit my standard secret pow stachs all over the mountain. I forgot my pole that day that I usually use to mount my camera to.... so I found a nice tree branch, broke it off, and used the new flex strap mount I just got to attach my camera to the stick. Boom! Tree branch cam killin it all day. The Flex strap rocks and you can pretty much mount your camera to anything you can wrap the strap around! The video is filmed with my Contour Roam in 720 action video mode. Thanks for check it out!

lemme know if you still have the raw files.... you can send me one or two and I'll frame rate convert them for you. Then I'll post a video of the converted one, a regular one, and one that is slowed down incorrectly. the difference is amazing !

thats weird that i movie would not let you use mov files. they are Apple! lol. try this... you can change the extention to mp4, it gives you a warning, but accept it. if you are worried, and i would be with that awesome footage, backup the raw file asap. you never know when you need it again, plus it has the gps data in it. anyway, The new Cineform software now accepts mov files. here is a timeline of what you want. email me if you have any more questions -- 1. film in 60fps 2. transfer to computer, then make a backup folder and save it again (basically 2 of everything) 3. import the files (mov are ok) into Go Pro Cineform 4. click advanced settings - make sure the frame rate is 29.98, then click remember settings and ok - tutorials and suport there too. 5. you can crop off the ends of the files here setting start and end points. then after you are finished with all that, click the convert all button on the bottom right. this takes some time. it churns out everything in AVI format at half speed. this is step ONE !!!! 1 more big one to go. ****be sure to make a new folder called "slowed down" to put all these in*** then hit proceed to step two, from here you have to export each file one by one, and you end up with a mp4 file that is twice as long at half the speed. voila!!! the link to that free sofftware is here - http://gopro.com/3d-cineform-studio-software-download/ I don't mean to post a competitor's camera info on here, but until storyteller has a frame rate conversion, I have to use this. best of all it's free. this is why my video is so long, it's like taking 20 min of raw footage and ending up with 40 min of raw footage to edit. If you watch my newest video you can see the difference. it all ends up in slow motion by 50% speed, but at 29.98fps. Good Luck, all that matters is that you are having fun and enjoying it and learning it. Just remember to make one backup folder for everything and make a folder for each event. You never know when you wanna go back and use that GPS data. I recommend "dashware" too, that uses the GPS data in every way imaginable.

Sick edit bro... how do you like the attack banana compare to TRS? is it better then TRS?

hate to say this but if you filmed it in action mode, and used raw files to edit before frame rate converting (which you didnt because it would all be 1/2 speed) you just lost 1/2 your frames, 1/2 your detail. Im sure if you frame rate converted this and re-posted it, it would look twice as good.

And Tahoe (the homeland and where I'm at for winter break) is even worse. Thus headed to flagstaff. Worse yet. Of 91 this season 14 inches are left. Where is la Nina!?
