Contour 1080p vs GoPro HD under water test and comparisons. Both cameras used on standard settings, no effects or colour correction used. Side by side footage is the centre 50% of the video.
Have a Contour1080HD, almost a year, love it, played with settings some are good and bad. depends on the time of day,lighting and good or bad, I LOVE MY CONTOUR. Going to add a Contour+ in May when I up grade my phone to an Android. Still having problem with my editing. GOOD OR BAD I LOVE THE CONTOUR CAMERA. I have watched a lot of videos that compare the GoPro/Contour and the comparisons can go either way. I believe it is in the person behiend the camera on how good the shot is.
Ive found that i can get vast improvements from both cameras, especially the Contour, editing in Final Cut pro, adjusting light levels to control contrast, brightness and colour.
I love the contour, just have to mess with the lighting, but sleeker, lighter, and better focus....

Nice thanks for uploading this comparison. I've never taken any underwater footage yet. I think Contour looks better. I have footage from both GP & C-HD's and can see some quality difference but this video really clarifies the focus & lighting. I think Contour has a better built camera. Would like to see more, keep it up!
GoPRO looks better? What are you smoking dude? Contour was better in every single part of the comparison, especially in terms of focusing. Glad I didnt get the GoPro based on this. Keen to see 2nd test
Sorry to say Go pro looks better(I have a contour). Looks like Go pro does better with low light, maybe if the contrast and exposure is adjusted it would look better on Contour.
