Contour Action Cameras Now Accepts Bitcoin
Provo, Utah (November. 26, 2014) – Action camera pioneer Contour today announced they have partnered with BitPay to integrate the digital currency Bitcoin into it’s U.S. based website www.contour.com. It will be accepted on all products and accessories along with all other major cards.
“Contour is all about looking into the future, and seeing where technology will allow us to go. We love Bitcoin, as they are doing the same in the field of online payments,” said James Harrison, CEO. “Bitcoin has proven to be a major part in the current and future of online transactions.”
The integration was completed in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. Contour plans to eventually integrate Bitcoin payment internationally to supply the growing demand for their products.
“For almost a decade, Contour has innovated in action cameras on features, design, and usability. Bitcoin is an obvious choice for companies to stay relevant in the future.” added Harrison.
To pay for an order on contour.com, there is a “Bitcoin” option in the list of available payment methods. If consumers already have a digital wallet they can complete their order using the “Pay with Bitcoin” button or scan the QR code on their smartphone to complete and pay for the transaction.
