We're very excited to introduce our new Surfboard Mount to the masses! Similar to our just released 360 Helmet Mount, the Surfboard Mount allows you to rotate your camera 360 degrees on a horizontal plane as well as 180 degrees on a vertical plane to let you customize your shot so you get exactly what you want in your videos. The adhesive features 3M technology to make sure it stays secure to your board. We recommend using the Waterproof Case with this mount to ensure the best fit between your camera and the mount.

Check out our new surfing video featuring the Surfboard Mount doing what it does best: getting pitted (so pitted)!**

Introducing the 360 Helmet Mount!

We have a new mount in the Contour accessory fleet that you can now find in our online store and that will be arriving to retailers near you soon! The 360 Helmet mount makes it easier than ever before to get any shot you want from your helmet.

The mount is essentially two pieces- an adhesive base and an uniquely adjustable modulating head. The base utilizes super strong 3M adhesive to make sure the mount is solidly attached. The head has a unique ball in a socket that allows you to move the actual mount piece around to the exact precise angle you're looking for. You're able to rotate it 360 degrees as well as any point on a 180 degree plane. It's very easy to use while on your helmet too, thanks to the simplicity of the hinge.

We made this mount for several reasons, but mostly because we kept getting asked for something that would provide different angles on different planes. The 360 Helmet Mount is great for helmets of all types and makes it so you can place the camera on center of the top of the helmet without getting any visor in it, if that's what you desire. It also works well for shooting the rider behind you or someone that may be right next to you. Think of the awesome potential for Dual Slalom footage!

LAS VEGAS, NV, Jan 10, 2012 -- (Consumer Electronics Show) -- Contour ( http://www.contour.com ), a leader in making it easy to share epic moments with hands-free video, today announced a new remote control feature on the Contour Connect App allowing users to remotely stop and start recording on Android devices. Available in April, the Contour Connect App will give users the ability to start and stop recording with the press of a button, remotely from their smartphone -- giving greater flexibility and creative control. With Contour's exclusive Bluetooth technology, Contour Connect already turns a user's smartphone into a wireless viewfinder, letting active people align shots and adjust settings in real-time.

"We just made hands-free a lot more hands-free. We're continuing to innovate in ways to make it easier for people to capture and share highlights than any other video camera. Contour is a creation tool, and we're always looking for ways to make it easier for people to capture and share epic moments," said Marc Barros. "The new remote control works with our Contour+ and ContourGPS cameras, so you can mount the camera on the hood of your car and control video footage from your phone while sitting in the driver's seat -- this level of remote control is an example of our leadership in mobile connectivity."

The Contour Connect App gives active people:

-- New Additional Flexibility: No need to have your Contour+ or
ContourGPS cameras within arm's reach to record. With this new
feature, users can start and stop recording remotely with their
Android smartphone!
-- Improved Streaming Capabilities: An HDMI cable connects the Contour+
camera to a TV for video streaming capabilities and can be controlled
using the remote control functionality
-- Easy Alignment and Previews: A Bluetooth connection sends images
between the camera and an Android smartphone, creating a live wireless
viewfinder. Explorers can set up the perfect shot before recording,
making crooked, misaligned footage a thing of the past
-- Real-Time Adjustments: The mobile App lets users change video mode,
adjust the microphone volume and react to lighting conditions in the
most remote locations
-- Camera's Vitals on the Go: Read battery, memory and GPS signal status

For more information on Contour cameras, mounts and software, go to www.contour.com .

The Contour Connect App will be available in April 2012in the Android Market. ContourGPS, Contour+ and other Contour products are available at select retailers including: Best Buy; Amazon.com; B&H Photo, Video, and Pro-Audio; Eastern Mountain Sports; Gear Co-Op; and Zumiez.

LAS VEGAS, NV, Jan 10, 2012 - (Consumer Electronics Show) -- Contour ( http://www.contour.com ), a leader in making it easy to share epic moments with hands-free video, and Japanese-based Cerevo (http://shell.cerevo.com) today unveiled the world's smallest and least expensive portable live-streaming video solution at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Cerevo "LiveShell." The unique battery-powered solution can be seen live at CES booth #35155 in South Hall 4 and is available for sale via the Contour website for $299 on February 1st.

"Contour is excited to include LiveShell to our product suite in the U.S., allowing our customers to broadcast their hands-free pursuits live to the web as it happens," said Contour CEO Marc Barros. "It's a perfect complement to our Contour+ camera model. We start with the best hands-free, POV camera with built in GPS and mobile connectivity -- and have now added a wireless live-streaming solution with the LiveShell. Partnering with Cerevo and Ustream will allow Contour customers to share their ski run, bike route, or any other hands-free action with their family and friends in real time."

A simple HDMI cable connects Contour's Contour+ camera to Cerevo's LiveShell to bring real-time video broadcasting straight from the camera to the Ustream website. Collaboration among these three innovative companies delivers high-quality, live-broadcast video for the first time in the hands-free video market, letting adventurers share point-of-view (POV) footage as it's captured. In addition to automatic sharing via Ustream, people can manually configure the Contour+/LiveShell combo to broadcast live on other video platforms.

"Live video streaming is key for many businesses and for individual entertainment, but without LiveShell and Contour+, people are stuck with poor quality video or else purchasing prohibitively expensive gear," said Cerevo CEO, Takuma Iwasa. "Computers can be unstable and difficult, while phones limit video quality and also capture unwanted vibration and wind noise. Contour is the optimal partner for us, delivering high-quality, high-definition video that friends and family will be thrilled to watch as it's created."

Contour+'s award-winning, hands-free HD video lets people shoot quality video from anywhere and everywhere, and with LiveShell and Ustream, they can live-broadcast as they capture. Simply plug an HDMI cable from the Contour+ into LiveShell to instantly and wirelessly share high-quality content via Ustream. For additional functionality, a Web-based Dashboard remotely controls and alters settings.

What people can do with Contour+ and Cerevo LiveShell:

-- Broadcast POV footage as its captured: World's first "Ustream
Compatible" internet-broadcasting device (released November, 2011 in
Japan) lets you share your action live on the web.
-- Set UpEasily: No PC or Mac needed; change settings via remote control
access on a Web-based Dashboard -- by computer and/or smartphone.
-- Deliver the Action Instantly: An HDMI interface makes recording and
broadcasting live a snap!
-- High Quality Video: Fuzzy video streaming is gone! Contour+ delivers
HD video in 1080p at 25/30fps or 720p at 25/30 and50/60fps and
attaches to a variety of mounts. The maximum resolution with Cerevo
LiveShell is approximately 480p.
-- Film and Broadcast for Hours: LiveShell and the Contour+ both have
greater than 2-hour battery life.

The Contour+ camera is available for purchase now, and the Cerevo LiveShell will be available for purchase February 1st from Contour's online store.
